Search Help

1. Searching with multiple keywords

To search with multiple keywords, separate each word with a space such as spore maturation. This will search for resources related to all of these words. If you use the logical operator OR with keywords, such as spore OR maturation, resources containing either of these words will be found.

2. Using multiple words as a phrase

When you enclose multiple words in double quotes ("), such as spore maturation, they are treated as a single phrase. If spore and maturation are not enclosed in double quotes, resources related to either word will be searched.

3. Combining or excluding search conditions

You can use logical operators to combine or exclude search conditions.

  • OR Search
Resources related to either word will be searched. For example, spore OR maturation will return results that include either spore or maturation.

  • AND Search
Resources containing both words will be searched. For example, spore AND maturation will return results that include both spore and maturation.

  • NOT Search Resources that do not contain the word after NOT will be searched. For example, spore NOT maturation will return results that include spore but not maturation.

4. Searching with wildcards

You can use an asterisk (*) at the end of a word for a wildcard search. The asterisk represents zero or more characters. For example, TOMJPA00002* will match TOMJPA00002-1, TOMJPA00023-1, etc.
